1. Who we are
Upvero, trading as Upvero, is the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact us at support@upverosites.com.
2. What we collect and why
- Account data (name, email, login credentials) — to create and secure your account. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
- Business information (business name, address, phone, opening hours, existing website details, publicly available business listings) — to research, build and maintain your website. Legal basis: contract performance and our legitimate interest in offering a relevant service.
- Enquiry and support messages — to answer you and improve support. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
- Usage and device data (pages viewed, IP address, browser and device identifiers, log data) — for security, fraud prevention, and product improvement. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
- Marketing preferences — to send you updates you asked for. Legal basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
We do not collect or store card details. Payment data is collected directly by Paddle.
3. Who we share data with
- Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of our plans, subscription management, payments, invoicing and tax compliance.
- Service providers and subprocessors — hosting, database, email delivery, analytics and AI content generation providers, acting on our instructions.
- Professional advisers — legal and accounting, where necessary.
- Authorities — where we are required to by law.
Where personal data is transferred outside your country, we rely on recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions.
4. Retention
We keep account and website data for as long as your subscription is active and for up to 24 months afterwards, and billing records for as long as tax law requires. After that we delete or anonymise it.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. Email support@upverosites.com and we will respond within one month. If you are in the UK or EEA you may also complain to your local supervisory authority.
6. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls and least-privilege database policies, to protect your data.
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to keep the site secure. Any analytics or marketing cookies are only set with your consent, and you can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time.
